Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with experience in Java and Python development and strong exposure to IBM z/OS environments.

The ideal candidate will work on building, integrating, and securing enterprise applications, leveraging z/OS Connect, modern DevOps tools, and z/OS security frameworks.

This role involves close collaboration with distributed and mainframe teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions

Responsibilities



* Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Python


* Build and expose RESTful APIs using IBM z/OS Connect to integrate mainframe services with distributed systems


* Develop, test, and debug applications using IBM z/OS Developer tools and/or Visual Studio Code (VS Code)


* Manage source code, branching, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab


* Implement and support z/OS security controls, including authentication, authorization, and access management


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment


* Troubleshoot application, integration, and security issues across distributed and mainframe platforms


* Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to coding standards

Qualifications



* Strong proficiency in Java and Python


* Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS environments


* Experience with IBM z/OS Connect for API enablement


* Proficiency with GitLab for version control and CI/CD


* Experience using z/OS Developer tools and/or Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for mainframe development
