Job responsibilities


* Produce high-quality designs, roadmaps, and program charters, driving delivery personally or through engineers you lead.


* Partner across teams to design and implement observability and reliability for complex systems that are robust, stable, and minimize toil and technical debt.


* Build deep expertise in the applications and platforms you own, including their dependencies and constraints.


* Demonstrates and champions site reliability culture and practices and exerts technical influence throughout your team


* Leads initiatives to improve the reliability and stability of your team's applications and platforms using data-driven analytics to improve service levels


* Collaborates with team members to identify comprehensive service level indicators and stakeholders to establish reasonable service level objectives and error budgets with customers


* Demonstrates a high level of technical expertise within one or more technical domains and proactively identifies and solves technology-related bottlenecks in your areas of expertise


* Acts as the main point of contact during major incidents for your application and demonstrates the skills to identify and solve issues quickly.


* Contribute meaningfully to JPMorgan Chase's SRE community through internal forums, communities of practice, guilds, and conferences.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on SRE concepts and 5+ years of hands-on experience.


* Experience in information technology infrastructure.


* Advanced knowledge of SRE culture and principles, with a proven ability to implement SRE within applications or platforms.


* Advanced observability expertise-including white- and black-box monitoring, service level objectives, alerting, and telemetry-using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and similar.


* Advanced understanding of software applications and technical processes, with substantial depth in one or more technical disciplines.


* Ability to communicate data-driven solutions using sophisticated reporting and visualization techniques.


* Recognized as an active contributor to the engineering community.
