Director of Engineering – Corrugated

Georgia-Pacific's Corrugated Division is seeking qualified professionals for our Director of Engineering opportunity, supporting our Corrugated Operations.

Corrugated is made up of our Corrugated, EarthKraft™ Mailers, and Hummingbird® Digital Printing business units.

The individual in this role provides leadership to the team of professionals working to support the capital projects across the division.

This role will oversee project managers supporting capital investments across all 31 facilities with direct responsibility for the outcomes of the projects as they relate to safety, cost, schedule, and functionality of the work.

This person will work closely with our Operations and Business leadership teams to make sure that the needs of Operations are understood and that the strategic plan is carried out through the projects.

What You Will Do


* Champion the application of PBM across the organization and through your personal example.


* Select, coach, mentor, provide feedback and help motivate direct reports.


* Communicate a vision for the organization and translate that vision into tangible action items for the organization.


* Provide leadership with analysis, review, and oversight to the capital projects being executed across the division.


* Partner with Operations and Business leaders to identify and prioritize the capital projects portfolio.


* Review capital projects to ensure front end loading and deliverables are completed, and the team is aligned on the objectives and scope for the projects.


* Leverage key performance indicators to track how the team is creating value.


* Work with external benchmarking firms to make our project systems more competitive and apply the knowledge with the project teams.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelors Degree


* Demonstrated knowledge and application of capital planning and execution


* Experience overseeing a portfolio of projects across a large number of locations


* Demonstrated experience managing direct reports and leading teams


* Demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of technical, operations, and business staff


* Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (depending on project needs and location of the candidate)
