CPP Syracuse is looking for full time caster on weekend shift (Friday-Sunday 3a-3p) to join our aerospace team! Positions start at $23.99 per hour and we offer a quarterly bonus program.

We are currently offering $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST & BACKGROUND STUDY PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

Major Responsibilities


* Responsible for interpreting melting and casting specifications for an Air melt unit.


* Ability to set up air and/or vacuum unit to meet required melting parameters.


* Must be able tolerate high heat temperatures and handling molten metal.


* Responsible for leading the pouring process


* Required to perform the functions of a Shell Puller and a Patch & Wrap Operator as needed.


* Maintain excellent attendance


* Ability to follow written procedures and standard work


* Maintain a clean, organized work area


* Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:


* Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)


* Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license may be required


* Experience: Entry Level Position but foundry experience preferred - Prior manufacturing experience a plus

Working Conditions:


* Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.


* The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.


* Manufacturing requires repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
