2026 User Experience Research Internship - Emerging Talent Summer Experience Program

As a User Experience (UX) Research Intern at JPMorgan Chase, you will have a hand-on experience designing real-world projects, deepening your knowledge, and practicing new skills in partnership with dedicated mentors who will guide you through the entire journey of your internship.

Our UX Research internship is a 12-week, full-time program centered around supporting the UX, product design and experience operations within an internal-facing organization.

The internship will take place in Summer 2026.

Job responsibilities


* Collaborate with a network of supportive colleagues from cross-functional UX teams including design, engineering, product, and business to understand the firm and client needs


* Conduct UX research on employee-facing products and initiatives to drive strategic business solutions and design decisions


* Construct and present research deliverables to deliver insights to stakeholders


* Conduct interviews, contextual inquiry, evaluative research, survey design, etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Currently working towards a Master's or PHD degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Psychology, Social Science or other related discipline, with an expected graduation / conferral date in Spring/Summer 2026


* Ability to commit to a 12 week full-time (40 hrs/week) internship


* Expertise in qualitative research methods and frameworks, such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, journey mapping, card sorting, or usability studies


* Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels or the organization


* Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills


* Ability to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment


* Drive and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users


* A portfolio of work or case studies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Prior experience working with product design teams including designers, engineers,
product owners, etc.


* Quantitative expertise in survey, statistical analysis, data science

We will be filling our class on a rolling basis.
