Workforce Control I (Temporary)
Description & Requirements
Maximus is hiring a Temporary Workforce Control I clerk.
This role will be responsible to monitor call volume and staffing data to ensure workers are performing in accordance with established quality & performance standards under the FSA Department of Education portfolio.
This is a Limited Service position.
This position is temporary with an expected date of 3/31/2026.
This role is for closing shift:
Weekdays - 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturdays - 8 AM - 6 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, with responsibilities easily learned on the job.
- Monitor call volume and staffing data to ensure workers are performing in accordance with established quality and performance standards.
- Research inquiries using various tools, databases, written materials, and the web to provide knowledgeable responses to inquiries.
Program Specific Job Requirements:
- Must have 0-1 year workforce management experience
Additional Requirements Per Client:
- Must reside in the U.S.
- Must be a U.S.
citizen.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must not be delinquent or in default on any Federal Student Loans.
Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance.
Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
Home Office Requirements:
- Hardwired internet (ethernet) connection
- Internet download speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)
- Private work area and adequate power source
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with 0-1 years of experience.

Pay Transparency
For positions on this contract, Maximus will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor.
That wage rate will vary depending on locality.
