What are we looking for?

The Environmental Staff Scientist is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services.

However, this position will focus most heavily on Phase I/II ESA's.

This position may also eventually involve other services, such as indoor air quality surveys, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil/groundwater sampling, wetland assessments, and more.

This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports and proposals.

This position could travel 25% of the time depending on project load/location (primary in the greater Detroit area and across Michigan).

Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary)

What you'll do:


* Support the Environmental Department; focus heavily on Phase I/II ESA's.

However, this position may also eventually involve other services, such as indoor air quality surveys, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil/groundwater sampling, wetland assessments, and more.


* Assist in the development of work scope, report preparation, client and subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions.


* Manage and perform Environmental Site Assessments following the applicable ASTM Standards.


* Author technical reports and proposals.


* Provide support planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets and building solid relationships with clients and team members.
