Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is seeking a strategic and experienced Director, Seams Strategy to lead and manage SPP’s interregional activities, relationships, and agreements.
This senior leadership role is critical in directing our efforts to achieve seamless boundaries with neighboring regions, fostering effective collaboration across organizations and regulatory entities.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing staff and leading policy and technical development aligned with SPP’s strategic goals.
This individual will engage with internal teams, member utilities, contract service customers, neighboring system operators, and regulators to drive innovative solutions that support interregional coordination and tariff services.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and direct all SPP seams activities, including the development, negotiation, and maintenance of effective seams agreements with neighboring entities.
* Set the strategic direction for seams-related services and initiatives.
* Hire, mentor, and lead a team of technical professionals and staff responsible for interregional coordination and strategy.
