SCADA Engineering Manager

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:
The SCADA Engineering Manager will provide leadership in the design, development and delivery of our monitoring and controls platform utilized on EPC Projects.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


* Manage all aspects of our SCADA / EMS platform and supervise team design, development and delivery to our clients


* Supervising and hiring staff


* Implement design and development standards to maintain product quality, reliability and supportability


* Maintain a platform development pipeline that aligns business objectives and project requirements


* Support SCADA Design Engineering team with scope of work review, scheduling and project budgeting


* Conduct project handoff reviews with assigned SCADA and Network engineering teams


* Support SOLV Energy (EPC and O&M) Business Development Managers with project pursuits by providing guidance on scope of work and pricing relative to monitoring and controls, reporting and analytics


* Participate in SOLV Energy (EPC and O&M) project kick off and ongoing project status reviews, provide input on scope of work and budgeting as needed


* Support engineering and procurement with new technology assessments including but not limited to; inverter selection, energy storage, trackers, plant controls


* Support SOLV O&M group with project onboarding and technical feasibility assessments


* Support cross functional groups with development activities that are dependent on the functionality of our SCADA platform.

Ignition and others)


* Develop and maintain system documentation for internal and external users, including user manuals, maintenance guides, training material


* Support talent recruiting and development


* Maintain relationships with SOLV Energy business partners


* Maintain working relationships with clients and industry vendors


* Industry awareness of the competitive landscape

Minimum Skills and Experience Requirements:


* Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.

Minimum of 7+ years of engineering experience (experience working within renewable energy including; industrial or utility scale PV solar, BESS or Wind desired).


* Verifiable experience working in a construction environment as a system integrator or equivalent


* Experience managing multidisciplined engineering teams


* Experience working within a product development environment desired but not required
