Job Family Definition:

The Senior Cloud QA Engineer is a hands-on quality leader who designs, builds, and scales test automation frameworks and infrastructure for mission-critical, cloud-native applications.

This role requires innovative problem-solving to ensure robust testing across distributed systems, with a strong focus on test automation, cloud reliability, and WiFi/network functionality.

This engineer brings technical depth and Python automation expertise to break down complex test challenges and implement effective solutions across hybrid and public cloud environments.

You'll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to ensure continuous delivery and high-quality user experiences in fast-paced Agile teams.

Management Level Definition:

The Senior Cloud QA Engineer is recognized as a subject matter expert in cloud quality and test automation.

They lead technical initiatives and play a pivotal role in defining testing strategy, frameworks, and performance optimization.

This role requires minimal oversight and may involve mentoring and guiding junior engineers or cross-functional QA efforts.

They drive sustainable quality processes and influence both internal tools and product reliability.

Responsibilities:


* Lead test strategy, design, and automation for complex, cloud-based products and microservice platforms.


* Design and maintain automated test frameworks (Python required) to validate cloud infrastructure, APIs, and wireless solutions.


* Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios.


* Evaluate designs and test implementations for alignment with cloud best practices and secure development standards.


* Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).


* Validate applications deployed on AWS and/or containerized environments such as Docker/Kubernetes.


* Troubleshoot and analyze production issues, logs, and metrics using tools.
