Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Work Schedule :

90 % FTE, 36 hours/week.

8 or 12 -hour evening/night shifts.

Every other weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department.

Pay :


* UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.


* This position includes a weekend and shift differential.


* External hires may be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to:


* Provide treatment and diagnostic respiratory services to patients.


* Work at an ECMO Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center.


* Be an important member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.


* Act as a resource to physicians and health care professionals.


* Gain experience within the organization and seek growth opportunities, which may include senior/lead roles and ECMO Specialist positions.

Qualifications



* Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited School for Respiratory Therapy within the last 6 months Required


* Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy within the last 6 months Preferred

Work Experience



* Recent experience working in a healthcare setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Must obtain Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the State of Wisconsin within 6 months Required


* Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Upon Hire Required


* If start with CRT, must obtain the RRT credential within 6 months Required


* CPR/BLS Upon Hire Required


* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 12 months Required


* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months Required
