Infrastructure Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale.

Ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications.

Resolve most nuances and determines an appropriate escalation path.

Execute conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems.

Drive the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process application.

Participate in designing and developing scalable and resilient systems promptly to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.

Design, write, comment, and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality.

Build microservices that will run on the bank's internal and public cloud platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, Computer science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Developer, IT Director, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, Computer science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Developer, IT Director, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: At least one infrastructure discipline such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments; At least one scripting languages such as Scripting, or Python; Cloud technologies including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS from the Azure or AWS provider with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds; system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; developing, debugging, and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with at least one modern programming language such as C#, JS, or database query languages SQL; Agile methodologies including CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
