About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician, to join our experienced team on day shift, (6am to 2.30pm) at our Smithfield Vinidex manufacturing operation.

This is a great role for a Shift Electrician who has 1-2 years Shift Electrician experience, looking to expand their knowledge and be supported along the way.

Ideally you will come from a similar role and enjoy working in a fast paced and innovative manufacturing environment where you are able to work autonomously or part of a team with a continuous improvement mindset, to get the job done safely, efficiently and to optimise performance and reliability of both the plant and equipment on site.

To be successful you will have a keen eye for detail, are a quick learner, technical aptitude and experience in a process driven environment will be highly regarded.

This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on and energetic person with a high level of organisation and the ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining safe work practices and following procedures.

What will you do?


* ​General electrical maintenance & repairs including preventative maintenance


* Attend to, call outs and breakdowns when required


* Spare parts ordering through store requisitions


* Capital project works and continuous improvement tasks


* Job recording in CMMS systems daily, using MEX
