Description & Requirements
The Associate Cloud Engineer is a hands-on position that requires the ability to implement technical cloud solutions.
You will help combine software and infrastructure to deploy creative engineering solutions for streamlined operations.
Much of our support focuses on optimizing legacy systems, deploying new infrastructure, cloud services, and reducing work through automation of legacy processes.
You will join a dedicated team of professionals with a diverse set of experience and skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate and contribute in SDLC activities such as solution design, work effort estimation, assisting peers with technical challenges and code reviews.
- Work with the supervisor to understand the assigned work, deliver on agreed upon dates and raise issues/risks in a timely manner in case of risk to deliverables.
- Perform production support activities such as monitor system processes, evaluate the outcome of system processes, work through system exceptions.
- Responsible for adhering to all established safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work under the supervision of a more senior engineer or manager
• Embrace and advocate a DevOps mindset
• Troubleshoot major incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortem RCA documentation
• Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive corrective action
• Build and drive adoption for greater reliability, resiliency, and scalability of our production applications, while maintaining a cost conscience approach
• Identify opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
• Participate in disaster recovery tests
• Perform hands on management of cloud infrastructure and automation tools
• Document cloud architecture, security measures, and participate in client audits
• Communicate any new enterprise standards or best practices to be adopted by the DevOps teams
• Participate in the 24x7 support coverage, as needed
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 0+Years of experience
• 1-4 years of overall IT experience, or equivalent education and knowledge
• Familiarity of standard infrastructure components
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (AWS & Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Unix based operating systems
• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of degree
• Cloud Certifications desired but not required (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)
