Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting - Hybrid

Role Summary

This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for quarterly 10Q/10K reporting, as well as monthly accounting for the parent companies.

Role Responsibilities


* Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for The Cigna Group, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.


* Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.


* Support monthly close for the parent companies.


* Participate in special projects such as the implementation of new technology, adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, etc.


* Support SOX compliance and external audit processes.

Qualifications


* CPA designation preferred


* Prior experience in public and/or corporate accounting


* Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen


* Ability to quickly learn and adopt


* Attention to details


* Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.


* Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines


* Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
