Managing Director, Electrical Engineer - Electrical Systems/Fire Investigations

Job Description:

As part of our expanding Global Engineering Sciences team, you will work at the forefront of today's most complex engineering challenges.

You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries from automotive, industrial facilities, construction projects, consumer products, consumer electronics, electrical grids, and batteries to name a few.

Secretariat leverages our diverse technical expertise, and industry knowledge of a variety of structures and products to provide clients with world-class value to identify solutions that drive performance and safety.

For this Managing Director role, we are looking for an electrical engineering leader that has strong proven experience in team building, team-based project execution, and top-notch client management.

Ideally, the candidate will have strong practical experience assessing electrical system failures, whether it relates to detailed analyses of the operation of a complex facility where an incident occurred or performing/leading fire investigations.

This Managing Director role is an all-encompassing role that incorporates the management of client assignments, proactively identifying and participating in networking, and business development activities.

REQUIREMENTS


* Established track record for business development and existing client-base


* Requisite professional degrees and ~10 years of work experience:
+ PhD or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering
+ Excellent verbal and written communication


* Have previously testified in deposition, trial, arbitration or hearings


* Excellent expert report writing skills to complement analytics


* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities


* Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills


* The desire to lead, auxiliary tasks associated with a growing practice within a rapidly growing firm
