JOB SUMMARY

Oversee plant Production and Operations to ensure that the plant meets production needs, regulatory requirements, and profitability targets.

Plan, budget, and develop projects that increase productivity, reduce operational costs, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Perform administrative functions, such as budgeting, reviewing, or writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, or purchasing materials or services.

Coordinate the activities of department managers to ensure the accomplishment of production goals considering safety, quality, sales, and delivery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.


* Establish and implement organizational and departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with GM and subordinates as appropriate.


* Formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.


* Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.


* Review forecasts regularly with sales and engineering to make production schedule modifications.


* Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvements.


* Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.)


* Responsible for driving team to maintain accuracy of inventory.


* Develop, or implement and maintain production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect and resolve production problems.
