Work Center Team Lead - 2nd Shift - Chassis Prep

Location: Denver, PA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Work Center Team Lead will assist in the training and development of production team members on the various workstations within the various work area.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret written orders and specifications, blueprints, understanding technical manuals, instructions and labels, which may contain hazardous warnings and cautions.

Be able to understand different types of welding and materials associated.

Trains team members on a variety of manufacturing processes for each workstation within the work area.

Evaluates progress of each team member during training period and upon completion of training; provides feedback to team members on their progress.

Provides ongoing feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of training.

Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

Responsible for the Chassis Prep area.

Participates in continuous and process improvements.

Other duties as assigned.

Control and reduce truck hours.

Effective and efficient utilization of people and other resources (overtime, equipment, material, etc.)

Efficiently and effectively, plan and execute daily work.

Coordinate activities with other departments of the plant.

Achieve truck delivery goals; daily delivery, monthly delivery, and on time delivery.

Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure appropriate availability and work in process levels.

Creativity in approaches to safety, personnel, productivity, and quality related problems.

Seek and develop new or improved processes that result in improved productivity and customer satisfaction.

Seek and develop solutions to problems as appropriate

Monitor quality of trucks in process and in rework and communicate actions required / taken.

Actively pursue defect reductions and positively impact defect measurements.

Implement and maintain quality improvement efforts.

Maintain processes.
