Process Control Engineer
INVISTA is looking for a motivated individual to join our Global Process Control and Automation team as a Process Control Engineer based in Houston, Texas.
Our Global Process Control and Automation team works closely with process engineering, instrumentation and operations groups to develop, implement and maintain automation and real-time optimization solutions to enhance plant operation and profitability.
This position will focus on leading advanced process control and real-time optimization applications implementations as well as sustaining existing applications across multiple process unit operations at INVISTA sites.
This role will also be at the forefront of understanding technology offerings, pioneering methods to develop and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) in open and closed loop control.
Working with production and optimization teams, an individual in this role will gather feedback, observe results and franchise learnings across our global sites.

What You Will Do
* Collaborate with Economics and Planning to stay abreast of key value drivers for automation
* Develop and understanding of where optimization of key production strategies can create business value
* Propose scope for new process control improvement opportunities by application of advanced process control and real-time optimization
* Develop, implement and maintain advanced process control and real-time optimization applications to significantly enhance plant operation and profitability
* Create and provide instruction for training of console operators and other groups on control subjects as required
* Establish metrics to track key performance metrics; influence the use of metrics to maximize delivered value
* Support and maintain process control hardware and software
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelors of Science degree or higher in Engineering
* Five (5) or more years' experience in a chemical petrochemical, refinery plant environment and/or an automation consulting organization
* Three (3) or more years' experience implementing and maintaining advanced process control and/or real-time optimization applications
