Commercial Business Analyst
The Commercial Business Analyst, in coordination with the commercial and FP&A leaders, evaluates various business areas to identify opportunities for commercial improvement and automation.
By leveraging business acumen, financial and technology tools, they assess a company's commercial processes, procedures, and systems, aiming to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through the strategic design and implementation of optimized processes and solutions.
This role will be responsible for providing accurate business information, analyses, and recommendations to help commercial leadership in formulating and executing the company's financial plan and strategy.
Education and experience requirements:
* Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Science, and Computer Systems or other related field.
+ Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
* Prior business analyst experience required.
* 1 year of proven experience in project management required.
* 1 year of experience of leading change and training initiatives while implementing solutions.
Essential Duties:
Technical
* Analyzing data: Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and financial data through CRM analysis and business liaison to support identification of growth opportunities & risks.
* Work closely with CRM data analyst to proactively identify data related improvements.
Promote the use of the CRM as a valuable information source and promote good practice in understanding and evaluating data through attendance at commercial team meetings and networking.
* Develop an expert understanding of the data held within the CRM and proficient in creating views and dashboards for commercial leaders, individuals, and segment leadership.
* Forecasting: Use data analysis to forecast future performance and trends.
* Preparing reports: Commercial analysts prepare budgets, reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings.
* Making recommendations: Provide recommendations to improve performance, such as cutting costs or increasing revenue.
* Work on projects that may involve engagement across multiple sites, business units, divisions, geographies, and cultures.
* Supporting business leadership: Support the commercial leadership team and advise business stakeholders.
* Writing analyses: Write analyses and present them to key stakeholders.
* Examining contracts: Examine contract terms and conditions to ensure they are advantageous for the company.
Communication
* Provides information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
* Use all forms of communication to communicate to all levels within the organization.
* Prepares and delivers presentations for a variety of audiences in a clear, organized, and understanding manner.
* Analyzes, clarifies, and interprets complex information and responds appropriately to others.
