ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.


* Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.


* Maintains the medication dispensing machine in all areas of the hospital and maintain minimum quantities of medications.


* When medication order arrives from the wholesaler, the Pharmacy Technician will put it away appropriately and document receipt.


* Reorders medications as needed, under the direction of the Pharmacy Director.


* Keeps the medication room stocked with necessary medications, IV fluids, and OTC medications.


* Checks expiration dates on all medications in all medication storage areas weekly.


* When medications are pulled from inventory, the Pharmacy Technician will appropriately record in the log.
