Loan Originator/ Home Loans
We are seeking a Loan Originator for the Home Loans Origination Department.
The role of the Loan Originator is to originate loans and act as the primary relationship manager with members for Credit Human Home Loans in accordance with Credit Human lending guidelines, secondary market guidelines, state and federal regulations.
The incumbent must stay abreast of internal lending policies, practices, guidelines, lending systems and products, as well as external regulatory and economic environments.

Highlights:
* Accountable to originate home loan products in accordance with FNMA, Mortgage Insurance, and internal credit union guidelines to ensure compliance with Credit Human, NCUA, CFPB and Investor standards within his/her authority
* Responsible for relationship management and serving as the mortgage lending subject matter expert members and the branch network
* Originate Credit Human home loans products and services ensuring established production goals and quality standards are met
* Serve as members’ primary point of contact with Credit Human throughout the production lifecycle of the loan
* Support the planning and implementation of home loan training initiatives which meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
* Verify and test for accuracy and efficiency all processes and procedures related to mortgage origination activities
Experience:
Required
* Minimum 4 years of experience in the mortgage industry
* Minimum 2 years of mortgage origination experience including conventional
Preferred
* FHA and VA origination experience a plus
Education:
Required
* High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Licenses & Certifications:
Required
* Requires eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry
Preferred
* NMLS registered
Skills & Knowledge:
Required
* Excellent sales, consulting, interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
* Knowledge of credit and collateral underwriting guidelines and rules and regulations governed by state and federal agencies
* Knowledgeable in real estate origination, processing, underwriting, and closing principles to include secondary marketing automated underwriting engines.
* Working knowledge of Fannie Mae guidelines, DU® guidelines and risk assessment tools used to decision mortgage loans.
* Ability to effectively communicate
* Ability to use sound judgement and possess strong decision-making skills
* Strong analytical, problem solving and audit skills
