Occupational Health Nurse

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Green Bay, WI team.

This role will support 3 facilities in the local Green Bay area.

The Occupational Health Nurse reports directly to the Manager of Safety/Health Services and is responsible for the overall health and medical services functions with emphasis on workers' compensation, medical management, medical surveillance, and employee return to work management and preventive care.

Our Team

The Green Bay Broadway Mill manufacturers and distributes leading commercial and retail brands of paper products (bath tissue, napkins, and towels).

The mill has about 900 employees and about 600 business support employees that provide engineering, transportation, data processing and customer services.

Every day, GP employees and products help maintain a strong, stable economy in Northeastern Wisconsin.

What You Will Do



* Provide direct employee care for occupational health injuries/illnesses utilizing sound nursing knowledge within the established medical directives/protocols


* Coordinate and provide appropriate care, treatment and follow-up of work-related injuries/illnesses


* Document all elements of nursing assessments, treatments, discharge instructions and follow-up care given


* Maintain compliance within standards related to occupational health and safety


* Assist in the management of short and long term disability claims


* Oversee medical supply inventory and calibration/maintenance of medical equipment


* Communicate facility health & safety vision, strategies and performance to internal and external stakeholders

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), licensed in the State if Wisconsin


* Experience working in a healthcare, industrial or manufacturing setting


* Must work after hours and weekends as needed


* Must travel to multiple sites during the day if needed

What Will Put You Ahead



* Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) and licensed in the State of Wisconsin


* Experience in occupational health in an industrial setting or emergency room


* Knowledge of OSHA, Workers' Compensation and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)


* Certified Occupational Health Specialist (COHN/COHN-S) and/or Case Management designation


* Certified in audiometry (CAOHC)
