Where you'll Work:
This summer internship will be working with the Corporate Tax department where you will be responsible for owning one or more projects assigned to you at the beginning of the week.
Some departmental tasks can include assisting with pricing guarantees, rebates, contracts, client payments, etc.

"Realwork": through an Intern Projectinwhich you may be able to:
* Assists in providing state and local tax compliance services and federal compliance services to assigned business segments and related subsidiaries and operations.
* Participates in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
* Prepares special projects, including work on routine audit requests and research of moderately complex tax problems/issues.
* Works closely with team members and legal entity contacts.
* Conduct research related to Cigna and its clients.
* Perform data analysis and assist in data reporting as needed.
* Prepare oral or written presentations to management.
* Collaborate with other functional areas on various projects as needed.
What you need to do the job:
* Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degreeand has completed at least1yearindesired majorsincluding, but are not limited to Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, and other related fields
* 3.0GPA or higher is preferred
* Strongwritten and verbalcommunication skills.
* Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking.
* Recognize and capitalize on personal and team strengths to achieve organizational goals.
* Knowing work environments differ greatly, understand and demonstrate effective work habits, and act in the interest of the larger community and workplace.
* Identify and respond to needs based upon an understanding of situational context and logical analysis of relevant information.
* Understand and leverage technologies ethically to enhance efficiencies, complete tasks, and accomplish goals.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel a plus
Additional Information:
Location: St.
Louis, MO.
This role is a Hybrid position which means you will need to be in the office 50% of the time.
This is a paid internship and does not offer housing assistance.
Work Authorization : One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation.
