Director, Product Design - Provider and Client

Role Overview

The Product Design Director for Provider and Client/Broker portfolios plays a pivotal role within our health insurance and services company.

Key Accountabilities



* Partner with Product and Technology leadership to establish and refine design strategies for the Provider and Client/Broker portfolios.


* Align design initiatives with the company's overall strategic objectives and growth plans.


* Stay informed of industry trends, ensuring the design strategy is innovative and forward-thinking.


* Roadmap Oversight


* Oversee the delivery roadmap, managed by junior team members, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.


* Monitor project progress and performance, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and quality outcomes.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design efforts seamlessly across different domains.


* Champion a human-centered approach to experience design, enhancing the usability and engagement of health insurance products.


* Apply design thinking principles to deeply understand user needs and translate them into actionable design solutions.


* Foster a culture that values empathetic, user-focused design across the organization.


* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented designers, fostering an environment of growth and creativity.

Qualifications & Experience


* 10+ years of experience in this space.


* 8+ years of experience in product design leadership roles


* Experience managing large teams within a matrixed organization


* Experience and comfort reporting to Executive Leadership Team members where appropriate
