DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is actively seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer with 5 - 7 years of professional experience to join the aviation team in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production of airfield designs and development of construction plans and specifications across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering, including airfield projects, rehabilitation, reconstruction, new airfield pavements, grading and drainage, and general civil site works associated with land development, etc.

While every day can be a new adventure in the life of an Aviation Civil Engineer, a typical day can include:


* On-site field investigations, design of construction plans and specifications and performing construction administration


* General coordination with the internal design team, multiple A/E disciplines, and external teaming partners


* Performing engineering calculations


* Analysis of survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information, and other items required for the project/site development.


* Writing technical engineering reports.


* Performing Quantity Take-Offs and coordination with cost estimators

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS


* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering


* 5 - 7 years of professional experience in all aspects of site civil engineering for design, including grading and drainage design, utility design, etc.

A Master's degree can be substituted for 1-2 years of the 5 years minimum
