Minnesota Power is seeking an Engineer I to join its Transmission & Distribution Planning team to work on some of the largest and most consequential transmission and distribution projects in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Facilitate comprehensive, coordinated, and transparent planning of Minnesota Power's transmission & distribution systems in order to provide reliable and economic service to customers while navigating a rapidly evolving utility landscape.


* Contribute to developing the grid of the future through analysis and planning of grid modernization programs such as feeder automation, non-wire alternatives analysis, distribution hosting capacity analysis, and distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection studies.


* Conduct transmission and distribution studies to assess system needs, create solutions for evolving electricity production and consumption, modernize infrastructure, and implement new technologies.


* Prepare formal planning reports and project scope documentation.
