SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT SOLUTIONS PRACTICE

Sustainable and Resilient Solutions (SRS) is a business entity within Michael Baker International.

The SRS focuses on MEP+ Building Engineering Services with a focus on Energy and Water Conservation, Carbon Neutrality, Resiliency, and Distributed Energy Projects.

As a Mechanical Engineer in the SRS, this individual will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise.

In this role, the successful candidate will design the mechanical aspects of projects, work with the senior mechanical engineers on projects and work with our project managers.

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Mechanical Engineering for our Sustainable and Resilient Solutions (SRS) vertical.

This position will oversee the mechanical engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems in building projects.

This role involves leading a team of engineers, managing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring all mechanical systems are efficient, sustainable, and meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the MEP services industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building a successful mechanical engineering team.

This role will also be responsible for identifying and pursuing new MEP business opportunities, developing, and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of mechanical designs to clients.

Leadership and Management:


* Assign projects/proposals, tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance.


* Conduct bi-weekly one-on-ones with direct report(s).


* Support technical managers with overall leadership and mentorship of the mechanical team.


* Assist with setting and tracking progress for direct report's(s') performance and career development goals.


* Conduct end-of-year performance reviews and merit increase recommendations for direct report(s).


* Foster a highly collaborative and innovative work environment.

Project Management/Technical Lead:
