The jobsite located in Vidor, TX is hiring a Field Safety Coordinator.

What You Will Do

Some core responsibilities for a Field Safety Coordinator include:

• Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees.

• Organizes and prepares the delivery of safety meetings and training.

• Ensure employees are following safe work procedures as specified in OPD's New Hire Orientation, tool-box meetings, and OSHA required training.

• Anticipate, identify and evaluates hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks.

• Make recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.

• Responds to and conducts accident investigations and injury/accident case management.

• Apply the Company's Substance Abuse Testing policy to maintain compliance, including but not limited to drug screen collections and records management while adhering to HIPAA standards.

• Responsible for partnering with HR & site leaders on employee issues and/or concerns (e.g., on-boarding questions, code of conduct, etc.)

• Responsible for conducting mandatory new hire safety orientation training as needed.

• Administer the safe permitting process (Lock Out Tag Out, etc.).

Some physical demands of being a Field Safety Coordinator include:

• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.

• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.

• Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day.

Working through breaks as necessary.

• Moving the entire body.

Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.

• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
