We are seeking a Pediatric PACU Nurse to provide exceptional care during our in-office general anesthesia sedation appointments within our dedicated surgical suite.

As a Pediatric PACU Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and skilled care to pediatric dental patients during their sedation appointments.

Key Responsibilities:



* Prepare care areas for pediatric patients and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.


* Utilize proper airway management techniques to ensure patient safety.


* Monitor patients' vital signs, temperature, and cardiac status in accordance with established policies.


* Exhibit proficiency in IV catheter insertion, maintenance, and removal.


* Conduct and document thorough evaluations of patients using an approved scoring system.


* Assess dressings or operative sites and promptly report any abnormalities to the dentist/surgeon.


* Create a safe and comforting environment for both patients and their families.


* Ensure patients meet discharge criteria before leaving our care.

Qualifications:



* Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.


* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric PACU or ICU setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.


* Active RN license in the state of employment.


* Valid BCLS Certification (online certifications not accepted).


* ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
