Job description
Join our Architectural Engineering practice as an Electrical Designer at Michael Baker International.

This exciting position offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with a dynamic team of architects, engineers, and designers to deliver outstanding solutions.


* Works directly under the supervision of a licensed engineer


* Two-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2-6 years of experience in electrical or telecommunication systems design


* Experience with interior or exterior lighting design (layout and calculations)


* Experience with circuiting and panelboard schedules (layout and calculations)


* Familiarity with the National Electric Code


* Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) [Autodesk Revit 2015-16]/AutoCAD 2015 and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:


* Engineering software (Visual Lighting Software or Revit equivalent) experience


* Effective visual/verbal communication skills are crucial.

Candidate should possess a proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering fields, clients, and constructors.


* Experience with data outlet and cable tray layouts power calculations software SKM or Easy Power


* Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)


* Knowledge of Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD and Micro-Grid Design experience

Location

This position can be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Rocky Hill, CT or Jacksonville, Florida.

The position can have a flexible hybrid schedule.

Compensation

The National salary range for this position is $55,000- $81,000.
