Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician

Department:
Cardiology

Works under the supervision of the Department Director, Supervisor and Physician as requested.

Accepts and completes in a timely manner assignments in all areas of the Neurodiagnostic Lab.

Performs all technical and clinical work as outlined in the American Society Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Standards (ASET).

Records EEG awake and asleep, evoked potentials, AABR, and EEG seizure monitoring.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

1.

Performs noninvasive Neurodiagnostic procedures such as awake, asleep EEG's, Evoked Potentials, EEG/Video monitoring, and AABR's.

2.

Charts data and time of procedure in progress notes in patient chart.

3.

Maintains patient log book, writes up patient charge slips, schedules I.P.

and O.P.

test appointments, and gives results to physicians.

4.

Updates and maintains alphabetical filling of reports.

5.

Performs preventative maintenance, calibration, minor repairs, cleaning, patient supplies, disinfecting, etc., of Neurology equipment and accessories.

6.

Performs related duties such as stocking linen, ordering supplies, clerical duties, satisfying telephone inquiries or other staff inquiries, assisting others and special assignments.

7.

Keeps current on literature and new technology.

8.

Assists in training EEG personnel.

9.

Records E.P.

in the O.R.

10.

Helps evaluate new equipment for the Neurodiagnostic Lab.

11.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: A minimum of a high school education or GED required.

Licensure: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required.

Experience: One (1) year experience in some aspect of patient care preferred.

The hourly rate for this position is $34.70 - $41.63.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
