As a Senior Principal Data Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Home and Auto Lending Technology team, you lead a specific area architecture and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments.

Utilize your in-depth knowledge of data architecture applications, processes, and product management to lead multiple complex projects and initiatives, make key decisions, and drive innovation to achieve the target state architecture goals.

Job responsibilities


* Stay current with new technologies and vendor solutions available in the marketplace


* Demonstrate your expertise in data architecture and design, for both structured and unstructured data as well as in data modeling as well as with all aspects of data management: data governance, data mastering, meta-data management, data taxonomies and ontologies


* Demonstrate expertise in architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost effective, cloud-based enterprise data solutions


* Maintain a fluent understanding of data security and compliance requirements as well as architecting and documenting architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow and sequence diagrams)


* Understanding of Solutions Architecture methodology and practices


* Work to translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions while showing the ability to perform third-party vendor assessments and to develop and lead proof-of-concepts


* Exhibit strong collaboration skills and ability to establish and manage effective working relationships in a matrixed organizational structure


* Work to create strong consensus-building ability and negotiating skills with strong communication and executive presentation skills, both oral and written and an ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences


* Help innovate thinking and embrace innovation by constantly seeking new or contrary ideas and approaches to what has been done in the past.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on data architecting concepts and 10+ years applied experience.

In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
