Director Sterile Processing

Work Schedule :

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position.

Shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday with variable start times.

This position has 24/7 accountability for all Sterile Processing for all WI UW Health sites.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Director, Sterile Processing to:


* Lead operational, financial, programmatic and employee related activities for Sterile Processing within all of UW Health's Madison-area locations.


* Communicate with physicians, academic department leaders, and senior administrators to maintain coordination with other UW Health programs.

Qualifications



* Bachelor's Degree Required


* Master's Degree in a relevant healthcare-related field Preferred

Work Experience



* 5 years of management experience in Sterile Processing Required


* Sterile Processing experience in a large academic or other complex health system Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Management Certification Required or


* Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Healthcare Leader Required or


* Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Concepts in Healthcare Material Management Required


* CBSPD Technician Preferred


* CBSPD Surgical Instrument Preferred


* CBSPD Ambulatory Surgery Preferred


* CBSPD GI Scope Preferred


* HSPA Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Preferred


* HSPA Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) Preferred


* HSPA Certified Endoscope Reprocesor (CER) Preferred
