Temporary Finance/ Accounting Analyst

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Collaborate with cost center managers, functional leaders & Finance Business Partners in developing annual budgets / quarterly projections; including clear documentation of assumptions & posting in Oracle / Hyperion


* Record month-end journal entries (accruals, reclasses, charge in / outs, & prepaid amortization) for all cost centers supported; ensure accurate reporting of financial results in Oracle / Hyperion


* Analyze financial variances for cost center actuals, projections, and budget


* Compile Month-End Balance Sheet account reconciliations


* Support audit requests from internal / external audit


* Oversee and enforce SOX requirements, including testing and compliance procedures


* Provide ad-hoc analytical support for cost center managers on an as-needed basis

Education & Experience


* BS in Finance/Accounting


* 2-5 years' experience in a finance/accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing setting)

Skills


* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products


* Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management Systems, or Essbase


* Strong organizational and communication skills


* Team player who can adapt to new responsibilities

* Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.


* Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.


* Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.


* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.


* Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
