Product Associate - Controls

As part of Offers & Shopping and Connected Commerce, we drive incremental growth for merchants while helping Chase customers level up how they shop and get more from the brands they love.

As a Senior Product Associate in Offers & Shopping, you will focus on ensuring our products have appropriate end to end controls and operational structure in place, assist in top-down risk analysis, real time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.

Additionally, you will execute manual controls and ideate enhancements to business processes supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings.

Job responsibilities



* Perform or verify manual controls


* Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience


* Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development


* Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols


* In partnership with stakeholders, ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols


* Ideate enhancements to business processes and implement a sustainable risk and control framework, supporting product evolutions


* Collaborate with technology to ensure technical controls supporting our processes are workingeffectively and captured appropriately, including applications mapped into our Offers & Shopping product

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* 3+ years of financial service experience in product development, consulting, controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred


* Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner


* Collaboration and relationship building skills


* Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment


* Problem solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions


* Implementation skills- writing action plans, procedures, change management
