Cybersecurity Software Engineer - Remote

Position Overview

Be at the forefront of innovating information security methodologies in the aviation domain! Use your expertise in software engineering and advanced information security concepts to work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop new solutions that ensure the security of data and systems in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Work closely with system engineers and software developers to implement new capabilities within Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), confidential computing, zero trust, cloud technologies, and provide Information Assurance (IA).

Concepts Beyond provides Information Security; Data Analytics and related technologies including IoT, Big Data, Cloud; Systems Engineering; Aviation expertise for advanced Air Traffic Management concepts.

Essential Functions


* Provide expertise on confidential computing and help verify security within cloud providers like AWS and Azure.

Perform risk assessment and analysis of cloud providers in relation to confidential computing and determine gaps and deployment strategy for software.


* Provide software engineering designs and expertise on cybersecurity concepts, principles, and technologies.


* Design and implement complex software solutions to secure FAA systems using various programming languages, operating systems, and cryptographic libraries.


* Develop PKI and zero trust solutions and integrate with libraries such as Bouncy Castle, Database Systems, Certificate Authorities, and Web Services.


* Contribute towards the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.


* Research, analyze, and provide expertise on innovative information security solutions in an environment with rapidly advancing technologies and concepts.


* Collaborate through working groups and contribute to global community of security experts to build international consensus on security approaches and ensure interoperability.


* Develop technical papers such as architecture & design documents, plans, conference papers, and working papers for international community and participate on panels to provide presentations, speeches on innovative cybersecurity topics in aviation.
