Pediatric Psychologist
Nemours Children's Hospital - Delaware is seeking an experienced, evidence-based Hematology/Oncology psychologist to join the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders ( LDMFI) and the Division of Psychology, within the Department of Pediatrics.
We are seeking a pediatric psychologist with interest and expertise in providing direct clinical services within the pediatric Hematology/Oncology population.
The psychologist will work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, specialty nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social work within the LDMFI.
This position will provide both inpatient and outpatient services to patients with a wide variety of oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
Services will include evidence-based interventions for patients and families coping with medical illnesses as well as supporting end of life care as needed.
Successful applicants will collaborate with medical teams and attend weekly multidisciplinary meetings.In addition to the clinical psychology services provided, the psychologist will also be involved in program development and will work directly with the LDMFI team to help grow, expand and improve psychosocial services for the hematology/oncology patient population.
The psychologist will serve as preceptors for externs, residents, and fellows in our Psychology Training Programs and pediatric medical residents on their Mental Health rotations.
Teaching, training, and mentoring are core values in our department, and these efforts are supported and encouraged.
Psychologists are members of the medical staff at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware and are supported with applying for an academic appointment through the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
The psychologist will participate inquality improvement initiatives,program development, and other efforts to ensure the sustainability of their service.
