Introduces new product designs into production.

What You Will Do
* Drive programs and complete projects to improve operational key metrics.
COPQ, VAVE, Inventory and OTD.
* Prepare product costs estimates including labor and tooling, coordinating with other departments for material costs.
* Works with Design and Application Engineering on product design for manufacturability, developing Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans.
* Designs and implements manufacturing processes, equipment, instrumentation and tooling for new products within schedule and budgetary parameters.
Monitors and debugs methods and procedures to ensure productivity efficiencies and quality requirements.
* Estimates / Develops process and equipment instructions, routings and procedures.
* Manages multiple new product introduction projects simultaneously.
* Interfaces with other departments to address and resolve issues.
Reviews and recommends changes to mechanical drawings and process documentation.
* Keeps current with manufacturing technology and equipment and investigates their potential applications.
Recommends incorporation of new technology for company applications where feasible and practical
* Conducts capability and time studies
* Implements lean principles in production including 5S
* Conducts training to Manufacturing personnel on continuous improvement tools, techniques, and programs
* Drives programs and completes projects to improve environmental and safety performance
* Compliance and participation in all Smiths Connectors EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
3-5 years manufacturing experience including project management, SolidWorks or Creo, tooling design, mechanical and electrical assembly and process design and documentation.
* Knowledge of mechanical principles, electrical / mechanical layout, machining practices and strong computer skills
* Experience with 3-D printers
* Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, strong interpersonal skills and training abilities

This role is the in-house authority on business requirements, process documentation, and translation of complex business and regulatory needs into clear, actionable engineering work.
The Senior Business Analyst works across all three products, partnering with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Operations, and external partners including CTIA and enterprise customers.
They own requirements quality, ensure engineering teams (including our external development partner) are building the right thing, and drive clarity in a business domain where telecom regulation, identity verification, and messaging ecosystem rules create real complexity.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that directly influences what gets built, how it gets validated, and how well GCH's platforms meet both contractual and customer expectations.
What You Will Do
Requirements and Specification Ownership
• Elicit, document, and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories across SCR, UBID, and RBM.
• Translate regulatory, contractual, and customer-driven requirements into clear, testable specifications that engineering and QA can act on.
• Maintain traceability between business requirements, engineering deliverables, and QA acceptance criteria.
• Own the quality bar for requirements artifacts, ensuring ambiguity is resolved before work enters a sprint.
User Story Authoring and Development Lifecycle Support
• Write complete, well-structured user stories directly in Jira, including clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, business context, and references to supporting documentation.
• Ensure every story entering a sprint meets a defined "ready" bar, with enough detail for engineering to estimate and execute without follow-up guesswork.
• Lead and participate in backlog refinement sessions, walking engineers through story details, business intent, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the on-call requirements owner throughout the development lifecycle, answering questions from engineers in real time as they work through implementation.
• Adjust stories, add clarifications, or break down work mid-sprint when new information surfaces, while protecting scope and timelines.
• Partner with engineering leads to triage requirements ambiguity quickly and reduce blockers caused by unclear specifications.
Process Analysis and Documentation
• Map current-state and future-state business processes across the three platforms, including customer onboarding, verification, billing, provisioning, and reporting workflows.

What You Will Do
* Provide support by building molds to support new manufacturing business ensure efficiency of timing and communication
* Assembly and disassembly of all components required in mold manufacturing process
* Set up and operate tool room equipment, including manual and/or CNC
* Provide the necessary information to assist subcontracting services
* Provide support to other mold makers, apprentices, and engineers
* Build, repair and revise secondary tooling
* Troubleshoot and assemble manifold system
* Keep tools / tooling area well-maintained to ensure proper working and safe condition

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Associate/ Technical degree in machine tooling or similar discipline OR at least two (2) or more years of experience in mold & die maintenance, injection molding, or operations

* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
What Will Put You Ahead

* Completed Apprenticeship program in relatable field
