Primary Function:
With minimal supervision, performs a variety of moderately difficult to difficult drafting assignments which require the application of standard drafting techniques and frequently used engineering formulas in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Immediate supervisor provides technical guidance for unusually difficult assignments.
Primary Duties:
* Prepares complete sets of drawings which involve multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements.
Incumbent utilizes either manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques.
* Reviews manufacturers’ or fabricators’ prints for conformance with contract specifications.
* Determines material needs and makes necessary calculations using accepted formulas and references.
* Supports field assignments as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
This is the most senior-level drafting position where the incumbent is primarily performing complex drafting assignments but has not made the transition to Designer status.
Typically 11-15 years’ related experience.
Incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in using CADD/drafting software.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
