Job Description Security Operations Center Shift Lead Physical security operations center · Santa Monica, California Location On-site -- Santa Monica, California Employment type Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
Dedicated to one client account.
Pay range $37.50 - $40.50 per hour Entity M1 Global -- part of the Specialized family of brands About M1 Global Since 1994, M1 Global has grown from a local security provider to the trusted security partner of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
We build security programs for complex enterprise environments -- from loading docks to data centers, headquarters to event venues -- powered by Aurix™, our proprietary automation platform that pairs skilled specialists with proven processes for industry-leading prevention, detection and reporting.
Wherever and however our clients operate, we integrate.
Protecting the companies that power the world.
The Role You run the shift.
Two operators work the console with you and you carry no routine queue of your own -- you own the escalation calls, you quality-check documentation before shift close, and you conduct the turnover the next shift depends on.
The no-queue rule is the point of the seat.
Supervision is most valuable at exactly the moment volume spikes, and a supervisor working the queue has already stopped supervising by then.
Coaching happens in the moment.
When a record fails your check it is corrected before the shift ends, not the following morning.
Key Responsibilities Shift Command • Run the shift.
Set priorities, balance load across the console, and reassign as events develop.
• Own escalation decisions on shift and make them against defined criteria.
• Coordinate the console response during declared incidents and crisis activations.
• Hold the minimum staffing standard and notify up immediately if the shift falls below it.
Documentation Quality • Quality-check every priority-one and priority-two record before shift close, and see that a failed record is corrected before the shift ends.
• Review documentation against the published standard rather than against personal preference.
• Conduct the shift turnover to a documented standard -- open incidents, system status, outstanding tickets, staffing status and watch items.
Operator Development • Coach operators in the moment on console technique, radio discipline, escalation judgment and documentation.
• Document coaching and development activity so progress is visible.
• Identify where a recurring defect is a training, procedure or staffing problem rather than an individual one, and raise it.
Interfaces • Serve as the console point of contact for on-site guard vendors and local security teams during the shift.
• Own the operations side of the handoff from the intelligence function -- acknowledgement, action taken and closure.
• Follow post orders and procedures as written, and flag where they no longer match reality.

Job Description Travel Security and Protective Intelligence Analyst Global intelligence operations center · Santa Monica, California Location On-site -- Santa Monica, California Employment type Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
Dedicated to one client account.
Pay range $46.00 - $50.00 per hour Entity M1 Global -- part of the Specialized family of brands About M1 Global Since 1994, M1 Global has grown from a local security provider to the trusted security partner of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
The Role You own the proactive work a reactive watch floor never gets to.
Traveler risk, pre-trip briefings, persons-of-interest case work and support to behavioral threat assessment all need sustained attention, and a queue will always be serviced first.
This is a day post -- ten hours a day, five days a week, aligned to the client's business hours.
Travel events outside those hours are handled by the watch floor and returned to you for case ownership, so the record stays in one place and an assessment does not restart every time it is touched.
You work closely with the client's executive protection and threat management stakeholders.
What you produce goes to people making decisions about where colleagues travel and who they meet.
Key Responsibilities Travel Security • Produce pre-trip briefings and destination risk assessments to published turnaround targets.
• Maintain traveler awareness for the active population, and reconcile the traveler record so the picture of who is where is accurate rather than approximate.
• Coordinate with the international assistance provider on medical, security and evacuation matters, and keep the client informed throughout.
• Support duty-of-care practice consistent with ISO 31030.
Protective Intelligence Case Work • Open, develop and maintain persons-of-interest cases with a full audit trail.
• Conduct research and triage on subjects of concern and produce assessments the client's threat management stakeholders can act on.
• Run watchlist and named-subject monitoring over time rather than as a one-off lookup.
• Support behavioral threat assessment practice and know the limits of your own role in it.
Products and Stakeholder Support • Write for executives.
Bottom line up front, confidence stated, information gaps named.
• Support executive protection advance work and travel packages with sourced, current assessments.
• Answer requests for information inside agreed turnaround times and say so early when one cannot be met.
Case Record • Keep the case record complete enough th...

Job Description Intelligence Analyst Global intelligence operations center · Santa Monica, California Location On-site -- Santa Monica, California Employment type Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
Dedicated to one client account.
Pay range $44.00 - $48.00 per hour Entity M1 Global -- part of the Specialized family of brands About M1 Global Since 1994, M1 Global has grown from a local security provider to the trusted security partner of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
The Role You produce the intelligence a global security team acts on.
Open-source collection, source verification, assessment, and written product a decision-maker can use at speed -- that is the work, and it is the whole of the work.
Automated detection surfaces signal continuously.
Your job starts there.
You verify it, weigh the sourcing, judge whether it matters to this client's people and sites, and say so in writing with your confidence level and your information gaps stated plainly.
Everything you write passes a release gate before it reaches the client, and it carries the center's analytical standard rather than your personal style.
You work a shift alongside another analyst and a watch officer who reads every product before it goes out.
This is a dedicated intelligence seat in a purpose-built center, not an analyst role bolted onto a console.
Key Responsibilities Collection and Verification • Run open-source collection across news, government, civil society, transportation, meteorological and social sources against a defined portfolio of sites, people and travel.
• Verify before you report.
Grade the source, corroborate where corroboration is possible, and state plainly where it is not.
• Triage automated alerting for relevance and false positives, and feed tuning recommendations back so the alert stream improves rather than repeats.
Assessment and Analytical Writing • Apply structured analytic technique and guard against your own bias.
Explain the reasoning behind a call, not only the conclusion.
• Write bottom line up front, for an executive audience, with confidence language used consistently and information gaps stated.
• Separate fact from assessment in every product so a reader can tell which is which without asking you.
• Produce recurring situational awareness products and answer requests for information inside agreed turnaround times.
Alerting and Escalation • Assess incoming alerts against proximity, severity and threat type, and escalate on defined criteria without waiting to be prompted.
• Support declared incidents with rolling...

Job Description Senior Intelligence Analyst / Watch Officer Global intelligence operations center · Santa Monica, California Location On-site -- Santa Monica, California Employment type Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
Dedicated to one client account.
Pay range $52.00 - $56.00 per hour Entity M1 Global -- part of the Specialized family of brands About M1 Global Since 1994, M1 Global has grown from a local security provider to the trusted security partner of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
The Role You run the watch floor and you are the last read before anything reaches the client.
Two analysts work the shift with you.
You review what they produce, decide what publishes, what returns for rework and what is held, and you answer for the quality of the shift rather than of any single product.
You carry no routine collection queue.
That is deliberate: review and supervision have to hold when volume climbs, which is exactly when they are hardest to protect.
You also carry the escalation call, and you take intelligence coordination authority on a declared incident.
Developing analysts is part of the job, done in writing and in the moment rather than at review time.
Key Responsibilities Release Gate and Product Review • Read every product before it goes to the client.
Publish it, return it, or hold it, and be able to defend the call.
• Review against the published analytical standard -- source grading, fact and assessment separation, confidence language, client relevance, recommended action and writing quality.
• Keep release gate cycle time inside target without letting the standard slip to get there.
Watch Floor Supervision • Supervise two Intelligence Analysts on shift, maintaining the one-to-two ratio at all hours.
• Set shift priorities, balance collection load, and reassign when something develops.
• Run the shift handover so the incoming watch inherits an accurate picture, not a list of open tabs.
Escalation and Incident Coordination • Own escalation decisions on shift and make them on defined criteria rather than on instinct.
• Assume intelligence coordination authority on a declared incident and produce rolling situation reports at the cadence the client sets.
• Own the intelligence side of the handoff into physical security operations, and confirm it landed.
Analyst Development • Coach on structured analytic technique, source evaluation and analytical writing, continuously and in writing.
• Document development activity so progress is visible rather than asserted.
