Alaska Marine Trucking (AMT) is hiring for our Dock to Driver Training Program designed to pay for CDL Training for employees who would like to obtain their Class-A CDL. Successful candidates will be hired as Freight Operations with the expectation that they will become Class-A Drivers through the dock to driver training program. While working as freight operations, the employee will learn our processes and procedures both on the dock and while on delivery routes. During the training period the successful candidates are expected to work through the process of acquiring a CDL with AMT and our training partners. * Maintain telephone or radio contact with Dispatcher.
* Operate forklifts with lifting capacity between 3,000# and 8,000# to move freight between equipment, warehouse, and yard locations.
* Load and unloads truck/trailer, securing shipments using a variety of cargo straps, ropes, lumber, etc.; this process may involve climbing up and on to the deck of a flatbed, on to a flatbed load, and/or into and out of containers and trailers as needed.

Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering
A Motivair Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting experiments, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, and lean manufacturing principles.
This includes conferring with equipment vendors, soliciting observations from operators, quality engineering, and customer feedback.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with design team to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability, quality, and balancing functionality, cost, and production efficiency
* Supporting member in the development of new product introduction (NPI)
* Continuously identify areas of improvement through analysis of manufacturing operations, including, but not limited to, workflow planning, space requirements, personnel requirements, equipment layout, time studies, first time through performance, and scrap percentage to reduce cost, improve, and optimize productivity and quality
* Assure product and process quality by establishing work instructions, process capabilities, designing finished- product testing methods, and validating manufacturing processes through pilot builds
