Scope of Responsibility: This position is responsible for operating an all-terrain forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stocking materials in accordance to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
Essential Duties: Ensures quality of all shipping items by verifying and identifying information and quality/condition of items as well as taking steps necessary to protect items from damage while being loaded on trucks and in shipping containers.Loads and unloads material in a safe and organized manner at all times.Pulls and prepares materials for shipments as needed.Uses small hand tools such as pneumatic staple/nail gun, banding equipment, stencil machine, digital camera and radial arm saw as needed.
Uses overhead crane as needed.
Maintains a complete knowledge of all yard bin locations.
Reviews and understands Shipping Schedules, Pick Queues and Bill of Materials.
Contributes to a team effort by communicating and working well with others within and outside the department.
