Guardian Glass is looking for a Glass Procurement Specialist in Galax, VA!

In this position you will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient and reliable glass inventory management, ensuring seamless operations and strong supplier relationships.

This fast-paced role combines day-to-day procurement activities with continuous process improvement-balancing inventory control, supplier coordination, and dock scheduling to make a visible impact on our operations.

What You Will Do


* Manage glass inventory levels and stocking programs to ensure consistent product availability while minimizing excess inventory


* Place glass orders and reconcile invoicing with Guardian float glass supply chain partners, maintaining strong and professional vendor relationships


* Monitor shipment and dock schedules from glass suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials at our facility


* Coordinate incoming dock schedules with internal teams to optimize unloading, storage, and material flow


* Communicate key information and updates efficiently to operations, production, and logistics teams


* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen procurement processes, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency


* Develop and implement cost-effective solutions for procurement, inventory management, and supplier coordination


* Support safety, quality, and compliance in all procurement and logistics activities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience with procurement, inventory management, or supply chain coordination


* Experience working in a fast-paced environment or manufacturing setting

What Will Put You Ahead


* Previous experience managing vendor relationships in the glass or construction materials industry


* Demonstrated ability to improve processes and reduce costs


* Familiarity with dock scheduling, logistics, and shipping/receiving operations

This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

For this role, we anticipate paying $50,000- $55,000 per year.
