Job Status: Part Time

About the Role
As an Activity Coordinator you will impact the lives of our residents through planning and implementing programs that are in accordance with residents' interests and capacities to participate and also provide quality recreational programs and activities as an aid to therapy and rehabilitation for our residents.

What You'll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:


* Plan and implement social, recreational, educational, and spiritual activities for residents.


* Motivate and assist residents to participate in activities.


* Provide individualized attention to each resident to encourage their ability to maintain the highest practical physical, mental and social wellbeing.


* Assist in developing and coordinating activities, events and programs for residents including games, reading, listening, and organizing community involvement.


* Attend to the individual needs of residents with include providing assistance with activities and identifying residents' reactions to the various activities.


* Promote positive public relation with residents, family members and guests.

What You'll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:


* Current Activity Coordinator Certification


* Desire and determination to keep residents active and involved


* Ability to exercise patience, tact, initiative, judgment and confidentiality following established guidelines.


* Ability to recognize changes in a residents appearance, attitude and condition


* Personality attuned to the requirements of meeting the needs of the infirm and aged, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the amazing qualifications and experiences listed above, if we had our say, we would also look for:


* High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)


* Prior experience in customer service
