Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist National Design Mart Hourly Rate $16 -$18 depending on experience Benefits 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, Vision Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Employee Discount National Design Mart is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our warehouse team.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying material locations, performing cycle counts, and updating inventory information in RFMS flooring software.

Previous experience in flooring, warehouse inventory, inventory control, or material handling is preferred.

Responsibilities Verify the location of flooring and other materials within the warehouse.

Assist other departments with locating materials and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Maintain accurate inventory and material locations within RFMS.

Consolidate inactive and active inventory labels in RFMS to ensure inventory records accurately reflect available materials.

Run weekly staging reports and verify bin locations.

Perform regular cycle counts according to the established inventory cycle calendar.

Identify materials that are ready to be moved to the showroom.

Research and resolve inventory and material-location discrepancies.

Communicate inventory issues and findings to the appropriate departments.

Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Develop knowledge of flooring products, materials, and inventory processes.

Assist with additional inventory, warehouse, and operational projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications Previous experience in the flooring industry preferred.

Previous inventory control, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.

Experience with RFMS or similar inventory management software is a plus.

Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established inventory procedures.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 4 hours at a time as needed.

Ability to climb a ladder.

Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
