Purpose:

The Medical Director Emerging Assets & Therapeutic Area (TA) Strategy provides medical and scientific leadership across both emerging assets and current cross-therapeutic area initiatives within J&J Innovative Medicine Canada.

This agile leadership role is accountable for ensuring medical readiness and strategic planning for emerging therapies and supporting current cross-functional therapeutic area capabilities.

The Medical Director, Emerging Assets and TA Strategy serves as the medical lead for emerging portfolio assets prior to their transition into established therapeutic areas, driving medical readiness, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement strategies that support future growth.

The role provides scientific and strategic leadership to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring a seamless transition of assets as they mature.

The Medical Director, Emerging Assets and TA Strategy additionally leads an agile, cross-therapeutic medical team that can be deployed across multiple disease areas to address business priorities, provide specialized expertise, and fill capability gaps.

The team supports therapeutic areas during periods of growth and transition while promoting collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence across the medical organization.
