The Information Security & Policy portfolio collaborates with business areas to address current and future cybersecurity threats across the enterprise, enforce SAFR and security policy, provide strategic and cost-effective services to its stakeholders, and protect the availability, confidentiality and integrity of Federal Reserve assets.

Technology support across the FRS (“System IT”) is functionally unifying and organizationally aligning to business line customers and enterprise shared services.

This System IT Business Information Security Officer (BISO) role within the Federal Reserve System (FRS) will assume responsibility for the information security of System IT Ops and Policy portfolios.

The System IT Ops and Policy BISO will report directly to the System Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Strong partnerships with System stakeholders are necessary to ensure efficient, effective, and secure delivery of technology capabilities and services.

The System IT Ops and Policy BISO will support the following:

Infrastructure, Platforms & Operations portfolio which supports the strategic direction and product delivery for System IT infrastructure and operations, as well as the alignment of technology to business strategies.

The team serves as the business partner for secure and reliable IT products, services, and operations.

The Information Security & Policy portfolio which collaborates with business areas to address current and future cybersecurity threats across the enterprise, enforce SAFR and security policy, provide strategic and cost-effective services to its stakeholders, and protect the availability, confidentiality and integrity of Federal Reserve assets.

The Enterprise Architecture, Data & Innovation portfolio which brings consistent architecture, data and innovation practice across the System by implementing policies and standards with a unified approach to business needs and solution assessment.

The Business of IT portfolio which provides foundational business management capabilities and services that enable System IT to operate effectively as a unified enterprise function.

This portfolio supports all System IT portfolio leaders and operations by delivering core management functions essential to running a mature, scaled IT organization for the Federal Reserve System.
