Hayward Gardens Post Acute is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team!

We offer flexible scheduling options, including Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities, making this a great opportunity for both experienced COTAs and those looking to grow their careers in post-acute rehabilitation.

Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide hands-on treatment to help residents regain independence, improve daily living skills, and achieve the highest possible quality of life.

What You'll Do


* Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.


* Assist residents in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, and self-care.


* Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence.


* Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.


* Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.


* Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.


* Participate in Resident Care Conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.


* Assist with training Restorative Aides and supporting restorative nursing programs.


* Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, safety, and strategies to promote independence.


* Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment while following infection control and equipment safety procedures.

Qualifications


* Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California.


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.


* Previous skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.


* Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills.


* Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.


* Passion for providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
