Perfusion Manager

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Perfusion Manager to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

The Perfusion Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical operation as well as the administrative functions of the Cardiac Perfusion services department.

The manager is responsible for strategic short- and long-range planning, performance improvement, staff competency and research.

Establishes and maintains departmental policies and procedures and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures and all regulatory agencies including DHS, TJC, OSHA and others.

The manager is accountable for management of fiscal operations and capital budgets.

Provides leadership and direction for the staff while promoting quality, safe and cost-effective patient care.

Essential Functions:


* Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.


* Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.

Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.


* Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.


* Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.


* Provides patient care and call when necessary.


* Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Job Requirements:


* Master's Degree required.


* Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience required.


* Board Certified by American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (CCP) required.


* American Heart Association BLS Certification preferred.
